BBQ 2012 has been scheduled!

This year's BBQ will be held on Sunday, August 5 from 1-3 at Mastodon State Park Pavilion on Seckman Rd. All Seckman German Alumni as well as guests, spouses and children are welcome! We will also be conducting our 3rd annual alumni spelling bee!! Check in regularly for more details. In early July I will start calling for volunteers to bring various items!

What should I bring to Deutschfest 2011?

Alright Kinder, you know what to do...it's that time of year...time to sign up for what you're bringing to the Alumni BBQ on July 23! BBQ 2011 set!

This year's BBQ will be held on Saturday, July 23 from 1-3 at Mastodon State Park Pavilion on Seckman Rd. All Seckman German Alumni as well as guests, spouses and children are welcome! We will also be conducting our 2nd annual alumni spelling bee!! And new for the first time we will have a poetry declamation contest...so better polish up those poems! Last year, thanks to facebook, was our biggest alumni bbq yet. Let's make German Alumni Sommerfest even bigger this year! Check in regularly for more details.

German Day 2011

Achtung, Achtung!!! German Day this year is March 31!!! As soon as we get back to school we are going to be practicing crazy! All of the alumni are invited to help inspire our current team in both spelling and poetry. We will be having lots of after school practices, so come on down and help out!!

Die Rappen formen sich!

The Wolfpack and its glory has given way to a new breed: die Rappen. Die Rappen are the new spelling team for this year, Rappen Pl in English means black horses. The spellers have already been winnying and trotting about and have amazingly been demanding to spell words before and after school. Many of the Rappen are hoping to get their names retired if they also become 4x champions like the former Wolfpack Alpha Steffi. I have my work cut out for me, we have some really good spellers, but I need to recruit and inspire some of the kids in my IV class that used to spell when they were younger and our opponents are looking to avenge their losses, especially after the article in paper!
